Your Pain Is Not Yours Alone

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

Pankhuri Soni

With a deep commitment to helping individuals heal and grow, I’ve dedicated my career to creating a supportive space for personal transformation. As a psychoanalytically trained psychotherapist, my passion for mental health began during my undergraduate studies and grew through my MPhil in Clinical Psychology at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Delhi. This journey equipped me with the skills to practice psychotherapy effectively within India’s unique cultural and social context.

My experience as a Senior Research Scientist at AIIMS, New Delhi, honed my research and clinical skills while giving me a deeper understanding of the complexities of mental healthcare in India. Combined with my work in private practice, I offer an integrative approach that blends academic expertise with empathy and insight into human behavior.

At Anhad Psychotherapy Centre, we provide a safe, nurturing space where individuals can embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and emotional well-being. Together, we can unlock your full potential and embrace a future filled with hope and resilience.

How long does it take

The duration of therapy varies based on individual needs and preferences. Some clients choose long-term work over several years, others prefer short-term sessions lasting a few weeks, and some seek a single consultation to gain clarity on their current thoughts and emotional state.

How Psychotherapy Works

For those unfamiliar with psychotherapy, it’s important to know what it truly offers. Therapy is a supportive and compassionate space where individuals can become more aware of their emotional experiences and begin to process them—with the presence, empathy, and guidance of a therapist who provides a safe and non-judgmental environment.

The therapeutic journey fosters a deeper connection with oneself, allowing individuals to listen more closely to their thoughts, emotions, impulses, and bodily sensations.

Therapy can be seen as an invitation to meet yourself with honesty and openness—a chance to engage more fully with life rather than withdraw from it. It encourages taking responsibility, facing challenges, and embracing growth with courage and compassion.

When an individual becomes a person, the beauty hidden in the individual, which is divine, developed and that development of beauty is personality.
